wu-men kuan, dancing before god
wind whirling life, ephemeral
a walk in the forest, a poem, a child
no port of call, no street address
just the echo of one hand clapping
and swinging on the gateless gate
wu-men kuan, The Gateless Gate (Barrier), study of 48 koans

I love this Jamie. Belief, birth, philosophy. So much packed into just a few lines.

Gate
(Jammapada)
as a child
I take a look
this world
a luminous bubble
swept by winds
fades
the morning of rains

The way you post poems in comments reminds me of “call and response” in music and also in Christian churchs of the Southern U.S. Lovely, bopan!

Very beautiful association. Maybe because I hear your voice that way. Polyphonic, Jamie!

I’m surprised, especially nice! I’m clapping but with both hands, because I do not have more.
