  1. Hi Jamie, I have been meaning to get back to you on my daughter’s outcome. She was in hospital for four days as after surgery she had a major Lupus flare and is doing better and at home now she is on prednisone again. Her surgery went well despite all the setbacks upon recovery and the mass is benign so that is good news. She cannot lift anything heavy for 4-6 weeks so when the grandbaby comes I will go out to help part of the day during the week. My granddaughter was in labor but it all stopped and yesterday they did a sweep of membranes so hopefully she will start up again. The baby is ready to come most definitely. Hope you are well.

    1. I was thinking about you all the past few days. I’m glad the mass is benign. Thank goodness. Prednisone. The drug we love to hate, but it sure is a miracle maker. Sounds like you have your hands full. Breath and be well.

      1. My great granddaughter is here. Klaudya Charlotte Anne arrived at 10:50am today and weighed in at 7.7 lbs and is 19 in long. I had the honor of cutting her cord. Mother and baby and big sister are all doing well. ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. Thank you! I’ll check them out today. I’ve been pretty much off line with company here. Congratulations again. I wish for you and yours and the new baby good, peacefilled and love-filled days. xo

  2. Hi Jamie, Was reading up on your diagnosis of ILD as my daughter, who already has a primary diagnosis of Lupus, was recently diagnosed with sarcoidosis. They found multiple nodules in her lungs just before the holiday. She is always so positive and upbeat she simply is glad it is not cancer, even though that gives her two autoimmune disorders. She is the light of my life…one of the angels that walks amongst us. Thank you for sharing so much about your difficulty with lung disease. I admire, once again, your resolve and determination to live as full a life as you can.

    1. Hi, Renee! I’m sorry to learn this. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect that these autoimmune disorders are always systemic.Thankfully, there are some wonderful – almost miraculous – medications for treatmet. I know sarcoidosis comes with it’s own special complications. I’m glad she upbeat and positive because the truth is that that helps a lot toward physical stability ad not be entirely benched by the condistion. Yes! I’m pretty open about it, in part because I want people to be aware. The sooner the diagnosis, care can start and that lessens the damage.I wish you both every good and will hold in heart and prayer.

      1. Thank you so much. She was the healthiest of my five children until age 13 and it took another ten years to diagnose her with Lupus. She is very much a positive person and takes things as they come. She will find out her treatment plan today. I always hold you in my thoughts as well

  3. Hi Again, You can erase the above comment. I am always quite exhausted after a trip to CA. Nice to see dad but it really is all about helping my sister, which is very tiring. Was a bit confused about your comment on the Wed prompt but my mind has cleared and all is well. Hope you are well, my friend.

    1. Hi, Renee! Have been on the run getting ready for holiday company, which is why I didn’t respond right away. I see now you’ve figured it out. Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you get to rest up. Will check your post soon. Thanks for participating. By te way, did you see your poem here last week. You get a nice response.

  4. Hi Jamie, Back from CA and have entered a post on Linky to the last Wed writing prompt. But, I may have done something wrong. I really do not understand how to enter a link to my post without having my blog address in it as well, although you said only to enter the post? Now I am in it twice. The first time it did not link and the second time it did but it is because I entered my site address. Can you correct this and let me know what I did wrong? I did afterwards sign up to the Linky which I had not done prior. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  5. I truly thank you and all others who support poetry in all it’s forms. From feeling like a lone voice I have found such a large community of supporters, collectors, and readers. It makes me believe my words are not wasted. I bow to you! Thank you. You give a few small poets a reason to believe.

    1. You are welcome and thank you. One of the upsides to social networking and blogging is that we can connect based on our affinities. We may have no one among our friends and relations who have the same passion for poetry that we do but online we make so many wonderful connections. Thank you for taking the time to stop by, read and comment. Be well and poem on, Shaun.

  6. Hi Jamie, I hope you got my email about Bio information. I so appreciate all of your encouragement and I do know how much effort and time it takes you to put Bezine together but I would like to have a Bio on the site so those who read my poem will know a little about me. Also, I am enjoying your Wed Prompts as well. Thank You!

    1. If you would please take a look at what others have done and cut it down, I would then be able to post it. It’s too long as it is and no one will read it. I don’t rewrite bios. That’s up to contributors to do for themselves. Thanks, Renee.

  7. Hi Jamie, I could not sleep and found the latest issue of The Bezine is now out this morning. Nice to see one of my poems. Question. Would you like me to send you an email for a Bio? There is none and mine would not be very extensive but I could fill you in more of who I am if you would like. Thank You

    1. Thank you for your interest, Mavis. I don’t accept poetry submissions for The Poet by Day. However, if you would like to submit something for consideration for The BeZine, you are welcome to do so. Please review the zine first and read the submission guidelines and themes. If you feel you have something appropriate to submit, send it to bardogroup@gmail.com … the url for the zine is thebezine.com

  8. Jamie, Thank you for the input. I have been reading about Elizabeth Smart and as par for the course have gotten it all wrong. I really did not believe that poetry could be poetry without having rhyme and meter. Be well.

  9. Hi Jamie, I have been trying to get a correct email address for Jazz Cigarette per your most recent Sunday Poesy but the link they have given seems to be more of a website than an email? I would like to submit something but am unable to. They have given jazzcig.com which does not seem to work as an email but they speak of sending writing in an email. Thought I would let you know. Thanks so much for the Sunday Poesy! Quite helpful. ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s meant to open to their webpage. You must read and follow the directions for submitting and it is advisable to read some of a publication beore submitting. Anyway the email address is in the body of the text there. Good Luck, Renee! Let me know how it goes. Blessings, J. xo

      1. So sorry. I did not understand that ‘subeditors’ is part of the email address. Yes, I have been reading some of the publication and so far have liked what I see. Lots of good writers there. This is the third time, actually, that I have submitted to something off of your Sunday Poesy list. Have heard nothing as yet but I am okay with that as at least I am sending some things in. Thank You!

  10. I just wanted to let you know that what you are presently doing on your site is without a doubt something useful to so many. At least I am finding it that way myself. The most recent one, I most certainly know, but would not have been able to find words more suitable as Hemingway did. Thank You for your continued efforts here. I so appreciate it.
