Lots to think about in this quote, for one — stairs do provide much needed exercise (I always use stars instead of elevators and escalators), two — with the invention of the Internet, the ‘art’ of skimming has become the norm; something that was not as prevalent with books.

I learned while talking to my brother last night that since he started playing games on his kindle he hasn’t been to the library in over a year. Thus once an avid reader no longer reads. Just a thought.

Well, there are exceptions to everything. That’s sad and concerning. I use both these days … for reading. They say the games are addictive, quite literally.

Yes they are. But like a puppy I am training myself to limit my game playing. I play one game on FB. It’s a memory game so I tell myself it’s to help keep my memory strong. I’m sure my brother will get back to reading. He has collected a few book on the kindle. A few years ago he said he would never read books on the kindle. He is slowly coming into the techkno world. I hear he answers his cellphone on occasion. 🙂
