……..Dawn
in the sparkle following a storm,
in heady colors, in the space between
the lament of the mourning dove
and the din from a murder of crows.
Raindrops hangout in puddles filled
with peaceful reflection, the wind
hums and chants, disco dancing round
vital tree trunks and elderly buildings.
A blackbird spellbound, drinks the sun,
listens to church bells pass the time.
